has anyone tried or thought of this? It's fairly cheap and a wide variety of fittings exist for it so no need to weld and can be disassembled. if no one has tried it, i might try building one.

well, personally i have only tried it once, and it worked pretty well, but overall it wasn't worth it in my opinion.
it lasted my about 3 months- after the hard and constant (more abusive) use i put it through the metal just caved in.... element- they're hard to describe... go to a search engine and sear "strut channels pictures" and you'll get a good idea on what they are.
sorry i can't be more of use Foogoo, my knowledge is limited.

good to know at least someone tried it! i see 12 and 14 guage steel available, maybe the 12 guage will last longer. i still might build it just because there is absolutely nowhere else for me to do grind/slide tricks.
