I don't know if it bothers anyone else but with the common homebuilt rails I've skated, the feet are annoying since they prevent you from approaching the rail from where you want, you have to go around the feet.

I was thinking of a double rail where it's two rails connected in the middle, like a U so it can be approached where and how you want. Does anyone else have any other ideas for a rail w/o feet sticking out?

My son has a friend whose dad made a pretty cool rail from 2.5" round steel. It was about 8' long with two legs but no feet. His dad then drilled two 2.5" holes in his driveway and the rail is removable. You just stick the legs in the holes when you want to skate and remove it when done. Unique design with no feet to get in your way.

Damn- you're right.

i'd do what you said- just make the feet "U" shaped.

concrete it into the floor this way no need for feet

thechemicalguru, but it isn't moveable, causing an inconvinence for whoever owns it and if someone else moves in and wants it out.
But overall- It's a good idea if you want it to STAY there, and no one else has a problem with it.

WTF??

you could cut little...divits (dunno what other word to use) in the concrete that the feet sit in so they're ground level and you can just roll over them.

Just make the legs thin. Unless you have 35mm or smaller wheels you can just ride over them.
