Ok I just got an intrusion alert on my pc, apparently somebody sent my computer a trojan or worm or something. Well what ever it is its working, because all my programs are starting to lock up and my virus scanner (Norton antivirus) isnt working at all. What do I do to solve this problem? I cant let anything screw up this computer because its my dads pride and joy he paid ove 4000$ for it... I need desperate help NOW!!!!!!!!
Thanks Cameron

Don't look at so much porn next time. Anyway, first of all, anyone who pays over $4000 for a computer is a dumbass. Second, find out the name of the virus and search for how to remove it on google. Third, look in your processes list for anything unusual (unless you suck at computers, then you'd just end every process). Also, tell your dad to get a different anti-virus when everything is sorted out because Norton sucks.

first when your computer is booting up keep pressin F8 and a boot menu should pop up, when this does press down until you get to boot in safe mode and press enter. when the computer boots up try and run your nortons. if that doesnt work still, open the start menu-run and you get a little pop up window, type msconfig and when the new window opens click on the startup tab and click disable all then click on the boxes for the antivirus. that should help if not iono maybe sum1 else can help

Hell yeah, they go to jail. Report it.
EDIT- Oh yeah, sorry man, but people can easily change they're IP Address. Or they could just connect through a proxy. So chances are, that address isn't correct.

Let me guess. You are running behind service pack 2 correct? When the trojan popped out, there was a new window saying you got trojan and asked you to download new program. Well my guess is that it has something to do with windows itself. F@#$ microsoft. Don't worry about your pc, it won't get busted over a trojan. Just tell your ISP. Next time get a program called zonealarm. It has all the protection you need but you have to update once in a while.

It probably does that just to trick you into thinking it's doing something.

this is the best thing that removes virus/malware and other stuff. Go to www.geekstogo.com , and register. Read the stickies in the malaware center, and post. Its amazing they always fix my viruse's.

If all else fails just take the computer to a shop or something and they can get it off for you. I don't think your dad would have a very good reaction to that though. hmmmmm

...a few times. then you tried to pick it up and tripped, causing the computer to go flying out the window.

giving out his IP adress will now let me be able to feed off you internet. I don't know unless im within your wireless range so. Whats going to end happening is either
1.) your computer goes into a total meltdown can't do jack
2.) get the geek squad on the phone
3.) that virus is a prgram already running on your computer so.. it sould be in your task manager processes (ctr+alt+delete) just find what the virus what the virsu is called and you can temareorly turn off the virus(that is untill your computer turns back on again) if this does work do number 2

^The ctrl alt delete thing...
Ive never heardof that before. When my comp gets a virus (NO! NOT FROM PORN!)
i usually call up the ISP and they take care of it...
