Parts of shoes

i was just wondering, after reading all the marketing ploys on shoes like 'co molded electro static midsole.' what are all the parts of the shoe called? like i know the sole is the sole obviously so dont be gay and be all liek 'the stringy shit is the laces.' and popwarpunk dont even think about typing out exactly 'the stringy shit is the laces.' i just mean like what is the midsole and what is the upper?

i think the midsole is the like platform part of the shoe. its above the sole and below the insole which is the part that the bottom of your foot is on. not sure what the upper is. i think it is the first layer of the shoe, like if there is leather and suede covering parts of it, the leather is the upper? dunno

the red is the outsole.. that whole thing..

the blue is the midsole. some shoes dont have them, like where the outsole is one solid piece. but its basically the part of the sole thats underneath the arch of your foot i guess.

then the green is the toe cap. you normally only say a shoe has a toe cap if its got a rubber one, but technically the toe cap is just the toe material around the sides.

Yeh I never really knew what it was. I imagine it is just the top layer of material on the shoe. Like if it is a suede shoe it has a suede upper?

it means.. the material the shoe is made of. duh.

if it says leather or suede upper, that means that the material is either suede or leather. because normally shoes come in different materials.
