OK, that is what skateboards tend to do after a while and you land in a place other than the bolts. I've come to find that if you break a certain board it is not the boards fault and it pretty much would break any other board out there except for a Lib, or a steel board or something.

I couldn't stand Volcom when they first came out. I saw them as a try-hard skate company that aren't much use to the skate scene at all.
Now I'm kinda warming up to them...stupid Shane Azar change my mind... *Shakes fist*

They're still not my favourite, and still try-hard-ish, but I'm starting to think they're okay, seeing their team and all. I'm suprised they actually have a team while they don't make decks or shoes or anything...just stickers for decks and patterns for shoes....hmm.

yeah i don't know about the whole skate clothing companies thing, i don't really buy anything from krew, fourstar or volcom because they're just clothes. well i bought the krew milano wallet because it looked cool. they don't really bother me tho because i think it'd be cool to be sponsored by them and get free clothes but i don't really understand how they can be called a skate company seeing as they only make clothes. they're actually just like any other clothing companies, why doesn't ccs sell clothes by old navy? (beside the fact that they make annoying commercials). and "because they sponsor skaters" isn't a reason because koston is sponsored by apple and ccs doesnt' sell ipods.

to be honest i like popwar, in contradiction to what ive said before but they do tend to snap more easily than a lot of other decks, they have good pop while they last, they dont chip too bad, but its when you land in a certain place that they snap, see the company use different types of wood, they use anything they can get their hands on really, ive had a friend who had one and it was chinese maple while mine was canadian, so most people that say bad things about them are skating either a bad deck made of crap wood or are crap skaters that throw their boardaround the street till it breaks

Completely off topic: Who else rubbed their trucks and bottom of their board on curbs and stuff so it looked like they could grind when they 1st started? I know i did.

But i don't honestly think it really matters what you skate. If you love skateboarding you'll ride anything. Bashing brands is just childish, supporting a brand with no other reason besides the fact that they have a cool logo or character (cough*flameboy*cough) is equally childish. Ride whatever. Oh and three weeks is nothing. I go thru a board about every 1-3 months, occasionally shorter or longer. If you're friend snapped it in, say, 4 says, maybe you should tell people. But three weeks is really nothing to be worried about.

i look at the shape of the board, not the brand. my friend snapped the nose of a popwar within the first 15 minutes of having it, just warming up on a 4 deck ollie.
