skateboard superstitions

im designing an illustration for a project for a Howies t shirt and wanted to know of any skateboard superstitions, like always wearing the same t shirt etc.

anyone got any other weird superstitions?

Sometimes i visulize myself doing a trick before i actually try it.I think that it helps me concentrate more.

i feel like i skate better if i have a white shoe lace on my left shoe.. but im out of white shoe laces so i kinda skate like crap right now.

i carry my board left handed and put pads on left first when im right handed

mi mates always have a manual comp at the end of the day.. when we are all tired.

and we pretty much do it at the exact same place

When I was trying big tricks, I use to be like "i'm not gonna get hurt" and then id be like shit and touch my deck and go "touch wood." I never even believed it, but just my mind would just go "I'm not gonna hit my head" then I would just go **** it and roll up to the stairs or whatever but I'd just think something bad could happen and stop and touch that wood. I overcame it in like a week but still sometimes I just tap it. It's stupid.

When I'm about to pop a trick, I'll just say to myself "try your best and it will soon be over" and most of the time it works.

I always skate with my right foot forawrd, except when I'm riding switch. I don't think anyone else does that though.

Right before I'm about to pop a trick I tug up on my pants, right above the knee. It started so that my pants wouldn't be all tight on my knees, but now I just have to do it.

ha thats kinda funny jay, i always have my white lace on my left, and the other color that they give me on my right.
and i do like to visualize before i do a trick, sometimes i pull up around my knee for more looseness, i always carry my board in my right hand. and sometimes i notcied when i wear just some good jeans(tight or medium.)and just a good ol tee and my greco kr3w italian steez hat, in that combination, i skate better than when im wearing some dickies with like a beater on.
just preference i guess.
