Make a snowskate [Archive] - Skateboard Forums

We had some snow yesterday so I decided to try and use my old deck to snowskate but the grip gets really slippy. So I got an old sleeping bag mat and cut out a rectangle big enough to cover my deck. I used no more nails glue to stick it to my deck. After leaving it to dry over night I cut the bits that stick out off, and then my dad drove our family to a local hill. First I used the sledge to go down then I tried to skate down it. After a few slams, I managed to go all the way down. The mat give the deck so much grip to your feet, even when it gets soaked with snow. Great fun.
I'm going tomorrow with some mates, so we might even get some footage.

i tried my old deck it on a patch of snow for abit and it handled like bitch. yeh i agree with a slippy grip aswell.

Cool. Snowskating sounds awesome.
WE don't get toom uch snow here in my part of VA. Usually one or two big ones a year and some flurries.

I think i was flippin through CCS and they had Snowskate Grip you can buy. I almost bought it for my normal board exept it cost $20USD a sheet :-42:

I just brought some wank 10 quid board that was as flat as an a 8 year old. Ate the trucks. It works fine. Well, it did last year. Barley had any wanking snow this year.
