Should I get Rowley Slims or the Accel? I don't want a bulky shoe and some have said the Accel is bulky. What would you get?I'm kinda leaning towards the Slims cause thier cheaper, but I like the look of the Accel, and I've heard its a good shoe.

The slims will skate better. But the Accels will last 4 times as long and be twice as comfy. If it was me i'd pick the Accel. If you want some Vans, get No Skools. Best shoes ever.
EDIT: Not that the Accels don't skate great. They do. They're all i've been rocking skating in wise this year. Great shoe.

Do the Accels ever feel at all bulky? I hate bulky shoes, but I can take middle-weight shoes. Wow, I just sounded like a boxing coach...

Hah. Well i guess it depends what you're used to... Compared to something like the slims they're going to feel a bit on the chunky side. But they're by no means chunky to the point of making them bad to skate it. They have good board feel. It's a nice middle-ground between feel and heel protection/comfort in my opinion. Best thing to do is just go down to your local shop and try a pair on. It's all about what works for you. You have to try diffrent things before you can decide what works best for you. There's no right or wrong answer.

I don't know about No Skools though, something about toe shells turn me off. No, not like that.

Well yeah. If you're into your flips and tech and all that jazz they're gunna last about a week. But then, the slims wont be much better. I've skated atleast 20 diffrent styles of skate shoe and the No Skool is the best in my opinion. It's perfect. Well, nearly. The classic old school vans shoe, but with some more padding and beefing up so it copes better with modern skating. It really is amazing to skate in. But yeah. They don't last too long.. That's the price you pay for board feel.

Accel's have always treated me well, do the job and make you look sechsi whilst wearing.

I might check out the No Skools......but the only colorway I like on it is the black/white.

They are both great skating shoes. And like cheese said, the accel's will last much longer. The no-skools are great shoes too. If you can find a pair in your size anywhere though, get the rowley classics. Great shoes. Durable but skate just like accels and look more like the rowley slims. But I doubt you will find them.

I would say Accels are in the middle for chunk-o-meter. I've never skated them, but my buddeh has a pair.
Your picky about colorway's arn't you, Almostmullen?

Yeah, sorry about the whole episode. How are your Rey 3's? Theres a pair of brown/gum Rey 3's at Amazon that I'm also looking at. I happen to have a gift card to Amazon as well....
(I hate it when your typing, and someone posts before you)

My Rey 3's are amazing... AMAZING. Def my favorite shoe yet, they've got the STI stuff, and the G2 gell heel things, which are great. Shoe feels nice and squishy around the heel area, helps for those pesky sore heels after a day skating. As for durability... can't say much cause I havn't done much flip tricks since I've got them, I can see a little wear but nothing bad. The grip has worn done any yet.. The grip is pretty grippy, I would say average.
They look downright awsome. You should get the Maroon/white ones, the white... what do you call it... the gum? The white gum/sole whatever looks really good with the maroon and stuff... But yeah, I would go for the Rey 3's, or the Accels cause I've heard great things about them from like everyone.

I like the maroon colorway the best. But everyone has them here.
Usually that doesn't keep me from getting them, but its ridiculous here.

I got a pair of slims yesterday or so, ok grip, but not as good as his other shoes, or other waffle grip shoes. Skateamerica.com has them for 30 bucks, I got black with a white sole. I skated them for a few hours, both toes have worn the fabric a bit, and it is white now. Where my switch flips and kickflips scrape, up on the nose. They seem like they will be pretty durable.
They are extremely light. Good shoe overall, better than the etnies I was skating. (artos)

Oh yeah, that sucks, I hate that.
I've only seen one other pair of Rey's here... Rey 3's.. Not counting mine. Hmm.. Maybe you could look for those black ones, they look pretty pimp'n.

I'm gonna check out Estilo's(Doses?). I saw a pic of 'em on the emerica board, and there pretty cool looking.
They sorta remind me of Reynolds Tre's, except for the fact they look totally different. The soles are thin and such, much better looking in real life.
