Hi, my name is Jon. This spring, a group of friends and I are making a skateboarding video called: String Steeze.
I have big plans for this movie, including a DVD release along with a music CD. If you could, please check out this teaser I made. I gotta say, this is my first time editing something, so it's not gonna be too great.
But anyways, here's the link: http://www.youtube.com/?v=JZfQ-ZWPlVg
Hope you enjoy. Please post feedback.

i thoguht the teaser was good, but the quality and resolution. You guys have pretty awesome tricks and stuff, but no offense if its your first time editing a movie, i wouldn't plan to release it for pay, that is if your going to actually sell it or give it away.
But good luck.

yeah, its a 2 MB video... the final quality of the actual video is going to be top notch.

Right no offense but i would not pay to see a video with people front 180ing 8 sets and skating a tiny rail. I hate to come down on you because it was a good video but people won't pay for this sort of thing.

I have bigger plans for the actual video. It's gonna be more then skating and bailing.. it's gonna be the skater's stories.

i have to agree with you on that... I don't think people are gonna pay for anythign less than the 'amazing bAm'. Sad but true..

Don't plan on any thing, it's horrible. To be completly honest with you. Skating sucks, editing reaks, quality burns. Honest Opinion.

THIS IS ONLY A TEASER!... this stuff was also filmed this summer................ the actually video will be a higher quality, and there will be better tricks.

excuse my literal insanity, but WHAT THE ****! Negative comments... ok, I'm sorry if this isn't top notch editing...it's my first time...... give me a god damn break. And people, this is a teaser... but none of the stuff on the teaser is apart of the actual video, which I haven't started filming yet. So cut me a damn break.. jeesh.

On a lighter note, I enjoyed watching the fuzzy haired, burly dude pull some decent tricks. Tell him to stop looking back at the camera after landing. The filming and editing was below par, but that's expected from a first hack. I'm not a fan of the music either, but what do I know, my last effort was full of bagpipes that gave people headaches. The one big no-no that stood out was the absence of your clips audio tracks...gotta have that guy. Well good luck with it bro, I think your biggest plan should be that you learn from the mistakes and apply to future edits of your project.
Either way, never stop skating, filming, and editing.
Im gonna move your thead to the "work in progress" section.

Well you're planning a DVD release, you want these guys to lie to you and tell you it's good so you release a steaming sack of wet shit that no one will buy?
Way to show your appreciation, I'm sure next time no one will bother.
EDIT: For the record, the skating didn't suck.

Yea the only reason people are being harsh is because you said you had big plans for this like a dvd release and a music cd if it was just something like "look at this video me and my friends made" people might say thats good for your first time or something.

the clips were from last summer.. and my friend who held the camera is wobbly. Plus, there's a lot of yelling so I have to cover it all up with music.

Shut the **** up retard, you really wouldnt know skill if it jumped up and bit your crotch. It was a bit shaky and no i wouldnt market the thing but i have yet to see you do anything better... Go on prove me wrong, or can't you?
I liked the tricks, the resolution was a bit crappy, the filming was shaky but as your said its only a promo AND your first time editing...
Good luck with the vid and I would pay for it, i enjoy watching like homemade videos and such like. I want to see that flip to slide that was bailed too... Later!

What the hell is your problem. Everyone else is saying the same thing. You seem to have a problem with me, but ive never done anything to you. If you look at his first post it says who he wants to market this with a big release and a cd and all this crap. I gave him my honest opionion. If i was in his situation i would like an honest opinion, so i dont waste money. If he said here is alittle promo, then i would of given it a better opinion, because its only showing off the skating skills. Rated as an regular ol' promo, yeah its good. Rated with putting down a whole bunch of money, not worth it.

Please post feedback. You wanted us to post feeback and we are telling you the truth when we say "quality sucks skating was ok." We're not making fun of you or whatever we are giving advice like when your complete video comes out you might not want to sell it just kind of give it to people and say yeah tell us how you like it, and you might not want to let the person who filmed this teaser film the whole vid because I thought there was an earthquake or something. Yeah just throwing in my thoughts so go ahead and yell at me for being mean or whatever because honestly I dont care if someone tries to bitch me out over the net.
