Alright, I just got my skateboard yesterday. In 6th grade I started and skated for about a month, then quickly lost interest.. mostly because my deck broke and I didn't want to buy another. Now that I am older, and willing to stick to something, I need some advice. I have a lot of determination, and I don't give up easily (unless I break a bone.. then I take a break). I have a few questions though.
How long do any of you think it would take me to get a solid, high Ollie down. Tell me from experience. Consider Hours of practice, because I'm willing to practice a lot. I'm really just focused on the basics now, and later on, I want to learn some harder things. So tell me, what do I have to do to get an Ollie down packed?

practice man. just practice. it really depends on the person though. some people it can take 5 months, some a year and i've known someone who didn't get a good solid ollie for about 2 and a half years. so just practice man. that's all you can do.

I'm still working on my ollie, so once you get it pretty high I, personally, would start going for some other tricks.

Currently I can ollie 2- 3 feet.(got my brother to measure me lol) I was about 14 when I got my first, solid ollie without thinking.
I've been skating for 10 years 2 months.
P.S. I practice every day for about an hour

I can ollie about 2-3 feet in the air, depends on the day. It took me a year to learn how to, and I landed it completely on accident. I've been skating 5 1/2 years, and I just got over 90-itis recently.

Can we measure these "feet" in decks? Because we don't really use that kind of measurement over here.
I can ollie two decks with a bit of air, flatland. I started working on other tricks when I could ollie one deck.

I've been skating just over 3 years, highest is about 4 and a half decks, although i've ollied up a wall higher than that. To get my ollies nice, clean and level took me around 6 months.
