Here's a great technique that I use to save time at the editing table. If your like me and hate cutting film, this will help.
Got it off blueprint skateboards (http://www.blueprintskateboards.com) site a couple of months ago and used it with my last batch of film and damn! it really speeds things along.
I take my hat off to you Jackson Buhck!

i always used to wonder why filmers would put their hands in front of the lens after their "homies land hammers" im going to do that now, and that was one of the funniest things ive seen in a while

Yeah man it makes such a difference when cutting. I know what he means by marking every sketch land...and wasting time capturing it.

Sure basically, the Half hand is a good tool to save time during the editing process. The half hand is used to mark the tape for tricks that were landed, but are a bit sketch. So if you know the guy didn't land a clean one you can still use the sketch one. If you know that he did hammer it out, then you can continue to fast forward and wait for the open hand to appear. Simple and quick.
