I went up north to Central Cali this weekend. Those Skate Historians out there will remember Lonnie Toft. 70's skate legend. Rode for Simms, had several Pro Models and is responsible for the creation of the Eight Wheeler. He saw pics of Jeff riding an eight a while back and they started corresponding. He started making new custom boards (due to Jeff urging him on) and came down to meet us in Los Osos on Saturday and drop of a couple of his newest stiks. We went out to breakfast with him and he's a very stoked up guy. Makes Custom Wakeboards. He hasn't skated in 20 years but went to the park with us and cruised around a bit. Here's a few pics. We didn't shoot any of Lonnie as he is still getting his legs back.

Then it was time to skate Los Osos. Me on top supervising park clean up.

Hell yeah i remember Lonnie Toft...that pic of the eight wheeler i still remember to this day ..although it took that pic to remind me. It's funny, i haven't thought of any this stuff for 25 years, but it all comes right back.

How do you like your "'pig" Colin?

Holy heck, you could really screw yourself up there if you did screw up!

Looks like a great time, I've always wanted to ride bowls, but I've only tried dropping in once and I bailed and i've been scared ever since.

Oh dude, I love this board. All the Cohort boards kick ass. Are you getting some ride time in on yours ?

Yes i am taking it slow. I am just riding flat and getting the feel for stuff. The Chase deck is killer. I orderd the Cohort Orig like your other stik but its on back order. Chris kicks arse on customer service. He gave me several options, but i will wait for that deck and he is sending me a swag bag for the trouble.

Freakin nice frontside Col!

Chris is a cool guy. He always sends swag whenever you order a board from him. T-shirts, stickers, cd's & dvd's and the likes. I've stiil got my Cohort Original and it's in great shape but I wanted to ride the Warpig really bad.
