Old skool: Bertleman slide

this is the powerslide up a bank, where you put your hand down. i can slide up and around perfect, but i can't get back onto the board right. i always fall on my ass and shins.:-11: can anyone help?

what way so you turn f/s or b/s...i find b/s easier and like to piss about on h/pipes with them lol

any way back to it...you rol up and just turn lean and put your hands down spin then push off your hands to get back on!

like just now. i landed five bertleman slides, so i decided to try 180's. second try, i pulled a sketchy one. easy!

ah ha! I love bertleman slides...I do them in front of friends I haven't seen in a while and such...and they always react the same: what the hell? I can't really describe how I do them...I do more of a 'pushing' motion with my legs I guess..I think the biggest thing is to worry about getting the board around...but that just takes practice.

I do "bertleman slides" on flat ground sometimes, but I call them ChickenBirds, cuz that's what I thought they called it when Koston did one after messing up a trick at the 2001 X-Games.
