I don't have speaker cords yet, but I heard I can use my guitar cords to connect my PA to the speakers. Will this damage anything?

it shouldn't damadge anything the frequienceis are pretty much the same i think(im a bassist). The sound will be horrible unless you where to get an eq-pedal. If you turn the volume up too high you run the risk of blowing the speaker just like your headphones. So treat it like your headphones to go past 3/4
EDIT: nless your talking about just plugging in the your guitar will do nothing.

No, I want to use the guitar cord to connect the PA system to the speakers. Unless that was what you meant in the edit...

yah thats what i meant it should be fine to plug if the cable fits to force anything in(bad idea). But that wont connect to microphone you need a differant cable to do that and they aren't expensive

The output from the mixer to the speakers should be a little higher, but it won't necessarily hurt anything..but try to get some speaker cables. If I was at home I'd offer to send you a couple of 25ft monster speaker cables that I have laying around but I'm a lil busy here at ft gordon...what mixer you running?
