I bought some risers called Hellraisers. i have had them on 3 weeks and they are disintegrating. Cracks all over with pieces falling off. What are some proven risers that i can rely on?

If you skate with loose trucks wheel bite is common. I gather most street guys keep their trucks tighter than the average pool, bank, vert skater.

Dook's (http://www.oldschoolskaters.net/store/Scripts/prodList.asp?idCategory=30) are a nice risers. Solid plastic so you dont have to worry about the cross braces cracking or any of that. Tracker (http://www.oldschoolskaters.net/store/Scripts/prodList.asp?idCategory=68) makes a nice riser too. I have ridden both for years and never had to replace any of them.

I ride a 1/4" (http://www.oldschoolskaters.net/store/Scripts/prodView.asp?idproduct=36) riser because I like my trucks pretty loose. If I have a setup with wheels over 62mm I run a 3/8" (http://www.oldschoolskaters.net/store/Scripts/prodView.asp?idproduct=108) riser.

The 1/8" soft risers by most of the big brands are nice, but they are mostly to absorb shock than actually raising the trucks to avoid wheel bite. I used to combine a 1/4" inch riser with a 1/8" shock pad to help eleviate shock and stress cracks, but I just stick with the 1/4" risers now.
