I thought this would be a good idea to put CD's on here and review them. Anything you want from any genre, review them here. They don't have to be your favorite, just cd's you own.




N.W.A - Greatest Hits


N.W.A is one of my favorites rap groups of all time.They picked some amazing tracks to be on here. This is just a pure Gangsta rap cd, to be remembered for the ages. There is and will be no other group like NWA.My favorites songs on the album are "100 miles and running" "Express Yourself" and "**** the police". If you want to get a Cd that shows what real gangsta rap is all about, get this. It will change your life, like it did mine. In my opinion, i i believe the best rappers from N.W.A are Ice Cube and Eazy mutha ****in' E. If your against strong language, don't get it!


Lost Prophets-The fake sound of progress
This is one of my favourite albums. If you want heavy, catchy songs you should check it out.

The Cramps- Bad music for bad people

This is proabaly the most reconizble yet less know album of the cramps. The art work is easyly reconized, yet the songs are some of their less-popular hits. In my opinion it their best songs. These songs are more of rock-a-billy sounding, and they just make you wanna square dance. The most remeberale songs are "she said", my favorite it rmeinds me of farms. "i can't hardly stand it" thisis the opening song for Baker 3, enough said. "Human Fly" the most known song of the album, i think one of their best. So overall this is a good album, i give it a 8. it could be longer(i give the artwork a 10). So if you wanna get into the cramps i suggest this album, it one of my favorites.

AC/DC live 92

this is acdc live '92. it contains many acdc classics such as back in black, highway to hell, thunderstruck, etc. the songs sound more electrified and, well, live. the only thing that bugs me is that thunderstruck, (the first song) takes a while to actually start, because since it's live, it band is setting up and the crowd is cheering. other then that, this is a great album. if your an acdc fan like myself, go get this RIGHT NOW!

System of a Down - Mezmerize


System of a Down always seems to manage to make 1 hits in their cds. Mezmerize debuted this year at number and hade 2 singles at add to their list. The key tracks are "B.Y.O.B." short for bring your own bomb and "Question!" I highly recommend any of their cds but this one was one of the best.

it has 14 songs on it, and i like all of them.

deerdance, and bounce are my favorite, but toxicity, and shimmy are probly most famous.
so if u like system of a down,(if u have heard byob on the radio or something) then i reccomend this cd.

Papa Roach
Infest
One of the few album that featers teen angst at its highest a very spectacular cd.Covers topics like Suicide,Drinking,Divorce of Parents and even ADD.One of the best album i have ever owned/

Black Label Society- Mafia


This is one of the greatest albums from one of the greatest bands in my opinion. The major hits of this album are most likely "Fire it Up", "Suicide Messiah", and "In this River". Zakk Wylde has showed us yet again his amazing skills with a guitar. Most of the songs have kick-ass guitar solos from Zakk Wylde. If you like Clutch or Black Sabbath or Iron Maiden, I suggest this to you. It is not metal where you can't understand a word they're saying, but its not pussy metal like HIM. I rate this a 10/10 and highly recommend it to all rock fans.

Punk Goes Acoustic



This one's a couple of years old (I think it was release in '03) but I just downloaded it the other day. Pretty sweet CD. I'm definately feeling it. It gives you a sense of what bands are actually talented outside of the studio. Pretty sweeeeet.

Nickelback "all the right reasons"- this is a really good cd. I really liked this one. There is a ton of power and energy in it. Really good lyrics and some new kind of sounds

The Weirdos - Weird World: 1977-1981



An excellent CD by an early LA punk band. It's 14 tracks long, and each one is pretty good. It's a really catchy cd, so if you don't like songs getting stuck in your head don't get this one.

Streetlight Manifesto
Everything Went Numb

By far one of my all time favorite cds ever. Many Anti-Suicide songs but also a variety of others. Whether you like ska or not you should pick this up. Hell if you like great thought provoking lyrics and talented musicianship then pick this cd up.

MR.LIF

Mr. Lif is one of the many underrated emcee's of the underground. One of the many talented artists who've been signed with the Definitive Jux record label. No one can refer to this Lif as mainstream, if anything he's the opposite of the mainstream. Known for his natty dreadlocks, odd personality, and of course..his lyrical content one is easily drawn into each and every track.

The beats on this album are great, aside from the rhymes. The focus of the album is based upon the corporate world and how to not let the things in life get the best of you.

It's worth checking out, it's REAL hip hop. It's not about bitches, money, and ho's...well wait..some of it does have to do with money. It's a great album none the less.

3rd beatles albumn i ever got, back in 1999.
First of all this is probably my favorite albumn i own.
All of these songs were great no matter what kind of genre you are into.

Starts off the albumn, first song i know to have mixed rock and roll and orcherstra. Awsome song and sets up the next song perfectly.

2. With a little help from my friends
Ringos song, Ringo has a very good voice imo.

3.) Lucy in the sky with diamonds
Another awsome song. Many people thisnk that lucy in the sky with diamonds means lsd, which is false. Really unique song.

4.) Getting better
Paul and John sing the majority of this song. While paul sings Getting better all the time, John sings Cant get much worse, both sides of life.

5.) Fixing a hole.
Im fixing a hole where the rain gets in and stops my mind from wandering where it will go. Break away from society and explore yourself is the theme of this song imo.

6.) Shes leaving home
Also another great song, talking about a girl who well is, leaving home.

7.) Being for the benifit of Mr. Kite
The whole song(minus small bits) was written off a circus poster from 1843. Yes i rember the date.

8.) Within and whithout you
Georges major contribution to the album. Lyrics that make you think. Great sitar part. I really dig this song.

9.) when im sixty four.
I really like this song especially the middle.

10.) Lovely Rita
My favorite into of almost any song. John made the sounds at the end with a toilet paper tube thinghy.

11Good morning Good morning.
First song i know that experiments with the trailing speaker effect. At one part a cart passes by and it literally sounds like its passing by you. Good guitar solo also.


12) Sgt pepper lhcb reprise.
Really neat happy little song that has a happy ending theme untill you get brought back to realtiy with thhe next song.

13.) A day in the life.
My favorite song on the albumn. Great song brings you back to reality, the holes portray stuck op englishmen, half of sbc jk,nr.I cant really describe this song in words you just need to experience this song for yourself. Go download it now.

Total score for this album 10 out of 10. Great album I can listen to ever song on it and enjoy them,even after all these years.If you havnt listened to this album you dont know what your missing.

KISS alive

Alive is one of the best Kiss CD's, and great for Kiss fans especially. Half the fun of being a Kiss fan is hearing/seeing them live. Of course, this Cd can't show you what the vomiting blood was really like, but its the next best thing. The crowd adds a depth to the songs, and overall its a great CD. I give it 4 out of 5 stars.

i just bought this cd a few days ago, and im in love with it. a lot of the songs dont sound anything like their older songs. my 2 favorite songs are.

Children of Bodom - Hatebreeder (1999, Spinefarm)
This album is most definately a masterpiece. The entire album, and I don't mean the good songs, I mean the entire bloody album is ridiculously melodic and heavy at the same time. The general approach behind the songwriting seems to be a melodic guitar approach with drumming like a big ****ing underline. The bass is nothing too important, but it does give a foundation for the higher level sounds. The keyboards are like the frosting on the cake some of the time (i.e. Hatebreeder, parts of Downfall), integral aspects at other parts (i.e. Warheart, Towards Dead End). The vocals and guitar layering are what makes this album heavy. The lead guitars are quite excellent, and they really do show Alexi Laiho's talent and lick writing ability. The keyboards have quite a wide variety of sounds. The softer sounding lead part is actually a keyboard solo, something that is somewhat uncommon. At often times, the lead guitar and keyboard trade off and sometimes synchronize (though this is much more prevalent on Follow the Reaper).
If you truely listen to this album, it is actually difficult to find a favorite. Songs like Children of Bodom and Silent Night, Bodom Night are ridiculously layered and melodic, while heavier songs like Hatebreeder and Warheart still achieve perfection through a slightly different (perhaps more straightforward) manner.

Immortal Technique, Bin Laden Remix EP: Great EP, it has Bin Laden Pt.1&2 with Mos Def in Pt.1. Definitely a great buy.

Mr. Lif, Emergency Rations: Great CD with that hardcore political rap stuff. Check out Phantom and Home of the Brave.

Gang Starr, Full Clip: A Decade of Gang Starr: Greatest CD ever. Every good Gang Starr track and a few remix gems. No wonder they're in so many skateboard videos.

Review : Ok. This album is the newest album from the Scottish duo Boards of Canada. This album has a unique sound from their other albums, it has a more folky sound then their scratchy, anique sound. If you are a fan of Downtempo Electronica or Boards of Canada, you should get this album! Download it, Buy it, or maybe, just maybe steal it (Even though you will get into trouble...).

This album lefted me speechless. This is some good, undescribeable music. Poppy, surfy, and techy. A highly recommended song is The Fix, once you hear that song, it's one of those songs that get stuck in your head, and you hear it over and over and over and over and over and over again.

Slayer- Hell Awaits (1985)
Vocals- Tom Araya
Guitars- Jeff Hanneman, Kerry King
Bass- Tom Araya
Drums- Dave Lombardo
An early thrash metal masterpiece. The bass is quite audible and adds alot to the songs. Guitars are heavily distorted and sometimes sound like static, other times like an odd fuzz. Lombardo's drumming isn't as unique as later Slayer albums, but still isn't anything to scoff at. Some serious riffing is on this album, if I do say so myself.

1. Hell Awaits- The first minute is comprised of 'join us' chanted backwards, leading into some slower riffing. The riff changes several times with assorted half note beats until it kicks into speed around the three minute mark. Lots of riffs in here, the bass adds an unusual amount of depth to the chorus, despite being a less integral part of the rest of the song. Definately one of the best songs in Slayer history. Just before the five minute mark the solos die down and go back to the verses, ending with some more riffing and a solo from Hanneman. A+.

2. Kill Again- Starts out with some riffing and somewhat simple drumming with a bass backup, leading into a back-and-forth trade between faster bass-led riffing and bassless riffing with drum support. Around the 1.5 minute mark, it leads into the main riff and Tom Araya's vocals. In my opinion, this is the best vocal work by Araya. The chorus is great in nearly all respects, and around the three minute section the song breaks into four solos, two done by each guitarist, pauses for a bit, leads into one last Hanneman solo, and then a high-pitched Araya scream. The last chorus is orgasmic in a way. A+.

3. At Dawn They Sleep- Somewhat a departure from the two last speed-orientated songs. This song has more guitar and bass melody. Lyrically, the song is about vampirism. The song itself is unique in a somewhat bad way, it's just too stretched out. The song gets boring before the two minute mark due to the lack of highlights, and then the (once again) slow solos momentarily keeps you listening until leading back into the intro riff, then feigns an ending (that I was almost looking forward to). A full measure of repetitive mid-tempo riffing leads into more distorted vocals, and then an entirely bass-lead variant of the last riff. Things start to go uphill around the last two minutes. More vocals, 'kill, kill, kill, kil,l kill, kill, kill, kill, kill, kill, kill, kill, kill, kill', more vocals with a different riff, solo, a pause for drumming, and the intro riff is repeated. C+.

4. Praise of Death- This is a no-nonsense song right here. Starts off with an immediate thrash riff, vocals very early in the song, the first chorus in the first 45 seconds. Rinse, repeat, solo. The riff changes, and a vocal interlude leads into the only bass solo Slayer has and probably will ever do. Some more soloing. The song slows down, soloing once again, and a minute or so later the song goes back into the rinse, repeat, solo section. A little bland, but that's the only oustanding thing holding the song back. B+.

5. Necrophiliac- Starts out with some higher-ended riffs on the pitch scale, thrash drumming, and early vocal verses. All I can say about the lyrics is, 'Satan's cross points to hell'. Some nice bass incoporation during the rythm guitar. A breakdown in the middle, a solo in the first third. Alot of elements going into this song, particularly the layering of the three string instruments. Another solo near the end tops off the shortest song on the album (3:46 seconds, so you know it isn't short to begin with). A-.

6. Crypts of Eternity- After looking at the song length (6:40) and hearing the first few seconds of the song, it's fairly obvious that we have another mid-tempo on our hand. A somewhat disguised solo at the beginning half minute. Once again, the guitar riffing changes into something different nearly two or three times every minute during this song. You can tell that most of Reign in Blood sounds like something from this song if you scrambled it a little and removed the bass guitar (damn you, Rick Rubin!). A breakdown in the middle, plenty more riff changes. Two alternating lead guitar parts, and then my favorite Slayer momement in history. The first time I listened, I went back and relistened to that earthshattering scream almost a half a dozen times. The song takes a turn for the faster, verses, more Reign in Blood sounding stuff, more soloing, and then the song regresses and transitions into the song that, in my opinion, wasn't neccesary.

7. Hardening of the Arteries- A jumble of riffing, and here comes the beginning of Slayer without audible bass guitar. The bass is downtoned, yet not completely untraceable, and the entire song sounds alot like a more to-the-point Hell Awaits. The breakdown in the middle was quite obviously copied from the Hell Awaits intro, and that definately bothered me upon objective analysis. The song ends quietly. Without the bass guitar backbone the rest of the album shares and the ripoff of parts from Hell Awaits (some obvious, others not) this is the only part of the album that shouldn'tve happened. D.

CLUTCH- Robot Hive/Exodus

these guys went crazy this time when they released this album. they switched from thier laid back, stoner metal persona to a little more upbeat, going to the point of adding an organ player to thier lineup. if you want some good hard rock with funky riffs, mystical stories without curse words or screaming(although i like screaming), then get this CD. damn good. a 10/10.

The first album and most heavy of all the SOAD's cd's. Popular tracks including Sugar and Suite-pee. A total of 13 tracks, all great songs for the rock enthusiast.
1.Suite-pee: A great blashpemous song.
2.Know-
3.Sugar-A great song period.
4.Suggestions-Just great.
5.Spiders-The only soft song on this album and still good.
6.ddevil-A short but sick song.
7.Soil-A bout a friend's death I believe and a awesome beat and lyrics.
8.War?-About the Crusades and etc. Very very good.
9.Mind-Starts off soft but ends in metal screams.
10.Peephole-A pretty funky beat
11.Cubert-An awesome chorus.
12.Darts-Metal Screaming is awesome
13.PLUCK-About Genocide a good song.

SOAD has been known to right some pretty messed up lyrics with inuendo's everywhere. This no exception. Great lyrics that change tones and depth all the time its great. My rating 10/10 best SOAD cd to date.

Avenged Sevenfold-City of Evil
when i bought this, i only expected to like a few songs off this album. i mean, i'm not really into the devil or anything like that. when i listened to it; however, i was surprised how good it was. i hear people say that these guys suck or that bat country is a stupid song, but after listening to it i feel that these guys are pretty underrated. it's fast paced and just as hard as any other metal bands. there are some slow songs, but they are good nonetheless. i highly recommend this album.

Best mixtape ever made...its DBLOCK SON!!! ive litsened to many rappers from immortal Technique, Papoose, Saigon, etc. but SP has to be my favorite rapper ever. No fake ***** no bull ***** like 50, spitting ill lyrics thru every verse and every rhyme he says. Hes the real shit. This mixtape..i give it a 9.8/10, no doubt.
