actually, and trust me, it looks stupid with a bigger tail. it just DOES. not that it should matter to you what other people think, but people will give you crap for it if they see you riding around like that.

also, thats just how they are. theyre made like that for a reason, even if you dont understand it.

plus, theres not always a huge difference between the ends. and there shouldnt be.

it also feels akward, so I have my bigger tail in the back, cause if you razor tail the back with a small tail it will just get even smaller.

1. Then look at them from the side. New school boards never have symetrical kicktails.
2. I think razortail is when you drag your back kicktail across the floor while moving, making the wood wear off and the edge sharper.

normal boards dont have symmetrical ends, but the good ones are close. tum yeto and deluxe makes the ends close to symmetrical in general. one of my reals was super close and it was hard to tell sometimes, but i like that cause its not like... say, element.. where the nose is steep and long and the tail is tiny.

and razortail is when your tail gets worn down enough so all the layers are worn through, and then its "sharp" like a razor... thats what all those kids with square tails have.. but its worse cause they dont stop skating their boards. some kids wear the whole thing away almost.

it wont wear away THAT much more than a good board, at all. if a board wears down fast thats you, not the wood. er.. it could partly be the would like if its not as tough, but not as much.

i saw this board in a thrasher magazine that had wings on the side of it.
the objective would be to have both feet on the wings instead of on the board? kinda sketchy!!

huh, i did not know that the big end was the front, it just makes more sense to me that it be in the back since thats usually were your back foot unlike the the front foot which is never all the way to the front , usually on the trucks

can anyone explain why the small end is the front, does it really help

wait one minut... I ordered a custom complete off CCS as my first baord. It was a world industries. They put it completly togeather and i havent changed anything. BUT the big end is in the back. It seemd logical... Oldschool boards have the point thing in the front and the biger flat tail.. I figured it went that way. So did CCS assemble my board wrong? I ordered it with silverados... unless they made the bolts be in the back they did it wrong. Im so confused >_<

So the bigger end goes in the front? ill switch my silver screws then...

Spenser, I hope you never see my deck. You'd snap it the second you saw it, because; I've had it for a year or two now (I make my decks last) and it has serious razor tail on the front and the back. I also skate the big nose at the back, because I personally get more pop. Why do you care if a deck has razor tail anyway? Here where I live, I end up doing ollies with a bunch of small gravel hiding where my tail will be, so all my boards get razor tail. I also swith to skating the nose once the tail becomes to short for what I like, but who cares? Some people skate with painfully tight pant, who cares? We're all skating how we want too.
