hey, im new to skateboarding. and im a 20 year old college student (odd i know, but eh whatever) anyway ive just about definatley decided on the set up im getting:

DECK: Alien Workshop Chaos - Heath Kirchart Skateboard Deck - 7.75 in. x 31.625 in. (the one in my avatar)

TRUCKS: Independent Stage 9 (Set of 2) Skateboard Trucks - 139mm - Black Gloss Hanger / Red Base

WHEELS: Alien Workshop Heath Kirchart Chaos (Set of 4) Skateboard Wheels - 55mm

BEARINGS: Toy Machine Sect w / Dispenser (8 Pack) Skateboard Bearings - ABEC 5

anyway, i was going to order the setup this week sometime from Actionvillage. but they sold out of the deck. or atleast the AWS one, they have the exact same graphic and named one in Habitat. its actually in their AWS section. so i was wandering, are Habitat and AWS the exact same thing? i did a search and it seems their by the same company, but are they the exact same deck?

thanks all

I guess there are slight differences but its like Honda/Acura except you dont get leather interior with either Habitat or AWS. Honestly if you get a AWS or a Habitat either way your fine. I'm on my third Habitat, and skated one AWS. Good decks man.

Also its never to late to skate. I'm in college also but have been skating for a little while.

Yeah their the same. There both made by DNA distribution (i think) so that means same wood, processes etc. Good choice!

Cool, Spitfire's are pretty tight. I will argue Stevo's point though...Independent makes a great set of trucks. Stage 9's are sweet, good choice.

Nice setup, I had an AWS once but got to mad and threw it a bit much so it did'nt last long. I may get another one soon seen as I don't get angry as much anymore.
