I just started last week and I got the stationary ollie down and can get a little more two feet of air. Well i started trying an ollie while moving and I seem to have this problem when I ollie i turn 90 degrees to the right and land horizontal. Why does this happen?
But more importantly I was just trying a shove it and the tail of my board just cracked so I need a new skateboard. I had like a cheap 30 dollar one. Should I buy I good one or another cheapo one until i get better. I don't want to take the chance of breaking an expensive one. I think mine broke because I land right on the tail sometimes. Plus Im 6 foot and weight 200 pounds and don't even know if im physcally able to skateboard.

Buy a good deck weather it be a blank or a manufacture one..NO WALMARTS OR ZELLERS BRANDS
and for the 90 degree thing just keep your shoulders square with the board and dont twist your upper body

You're find for skateboarding mate. I suggest new bushings/tape, and work on your foot position. While your moving don't lean, and try not to twist when you ollie. There are a lot of ollie threads in the "Trick Help" section, they might give you a hand, check 'em out.

check www.fightskateboards.com they're the strongest decks i've skated. but yeah any board will crack if you land hard enough on the tail enough times and any real board will be stronger than the $30 kmart special.

ya, i just bought a new one to hold me over until next week cause the skate shop was closed and I have to do stuff so i bought a 50 dollar world industries board. But for some reason one of the ends has a bigger um end thingy flipper thing and also it seems that when i set it on the ground not all 4 wheels touch. Is there something i can do to fix that. I tried bending the trucks but still.
