Darkhawk..I had no clue you aggro skate. Me too...

I've been rollerblading before I started skateboarding. I find flatland rollerblading to basically, suck. If you gave me an open parking lot, gimme my skateboard. If you have a skatepark, my blades. Darkhawk, do you happen to have any pictures or video of you and/or your friends blading? If so...I'd love to check them out. As for everyone trying it..I think there's a certain 'type' of people the blade...so it's not for everyone of course.

I've been into aggro skating for awhile. Theres not much to do with just some flatland but with our homemade rails and kickers we have a blast. You've probably seen my sequence shots of my friends.

I inlined when i was like 10 and we were hitting like 540s off my porch and all of those grabs and stuff. then we stopped cause we got a better ramp to skateboard on. My friend and i are also thinking about inlining again.

'when I was 10 we were.......'
Geez...that was a while ago, too. 20 years....sheesh...

Yeah, I saw the competition, too. Video taped it, infact...the street competition was the best...I love that park.

yea i thought the same thing i caught the vert part but the second session and then i saw the whole street part i thought the park kinda sucked though i mean they didn't have much to do they seemed a bit frustrated at the unfortunate loss of ramps well u know what i mean they didn't have many things to do tricks off of cuz they were more technicle skaters even though they said that

Mrock
07-17-2002, 12:45 AM
Yeah..I love the tech stuff..and I love that park...but those dudes would have been *much* happier with some big ramps...especially Jaren Grob...poor guy..

I've never tried aggressive inline skating, cuz I don't have money to by the blades, but think I would be pretty good. Because I'm great at footskateboarding, which is like inline without the wheels.:)

DarkHawk2-2
07-17-2002, 04:33 AM
yea kinda... the hard part of inling is twisting ure legs for weird grinds like soul grind. or opposite royale.

i inline... its fun but im startin to get more into skating... snowboarding is my main sport tho... i didnt know this many people on here bladed... neato

Mrock
07-18-2002, 05:05 AM
What do you mean 'soul grind or opposite..royale grind' ? A royale is completely different than a soul. A soul you have one foot in frontside position, and the back in soul...then in royale you have your back foot in royale, and front foot in frontside..a bit different...Yes..the posititions are weird...

errrr i used to blade for a little while but then i got into bmxing buut realised afterr a year it wasnt for me so i got into skateboarding. Anyhow one of my last goes on skates i broke my arm (got stuck in a pot hole) but i had another go on myy m8s at my park and i learnt how too deop most ramps in like 5 mins :D

i have never really liked inlining as a sport..i ahve thought about having a go but i alway crawled back to boarding and now i am so stuck into it i would never move to any sport ever again

i like the tricks they do on skates its just that...its much more challenging to keep your board under your feet that 2 peices of rolling plastic!

Mrock
07-18-2002, 04:17 PM
Well...since blading is so incredibly easy. Come down here and blade with me flip....c'mon boy...we'll go to some skateparks..I wanna witness this 'much easier' nonsense. I'm not saying either sport is harder, but it's not fair to say unless you're equally good in each sport...

AIRZ1
07-18-2002, 07:30 PM
yeh i agree mrock i think that you cannot say inlineing or however you spell it is easy as it is a challenge. There is alot of ballence needed from what i have seen and found out in some cases lol. I much prefer boarding to skating though

Mrock
07-18-2002, 08:24 PM
I'm not saying either is better, or harder/easier.....but it's ignorant to put down any sport you're not good at...makes it seem like you're just bitter..

DarkHawk2-2

in my opinion inling hurts more... skateboarding and blading are both equally difficult (to me).

Mrock
07-19-2002, 01:15 AM
I faceplant a lot on blades..but besides that, I really don't fall much..I'm extremely comfy on my blades, been doing it a good uh..almost 6 years. I think it depends on the fall, though. A blader could trip..and slide on his hands and knees...sure it hurts a bit. A boarder could try to 360 flip, land in primo or a similar position, and slip..nail his head on the gorund. Either sport you can get hurt badly..just depends on your skill level.

BoArDeR420
07-19-2002, 03:48 AM
they both have their easier/harder parts... people say that being attached makes it easier but hat has its bad parts too... if u r jumpin off a wall on blades u must land right where as on a skaeboard u can kick the board away... but on blades u can jump and on a board u have to ollie... i think they r equaly difficult

Enough talk..I'd like to see some blading footage of someone, anyone...I've got pics here and there...and some footage...but I'd rather "trade"...oh well.

Dude, dont ever insult another sport, especially by using language like that Skate_boy. Also, that was partially directed towards Mrock, and I will personally fly out to where you live and kick your ass dude, and I can assure that you'll be warned, most likely by Mrock, and if he lets you slide, your a very lucky person.

Really? You hate me? Darn. I thought we had something going between us man...you let me down. I had a crush on you, too. I'm going to crawl into a hole and cry now....

But really...I could care less who you hate. You do not go onto ramprage speaking like that to ANYONE. I have warned you TWO times already. If my kindergarten counting skills serve me right, this will be your third warning. Make your last chance good...because I am done telling you to chill out on the forums. People come onto ramprage looking to talk without this type of fighting. That's exactly what you're causing is fighting. Anyone that reads this and is offended by skate_boy's ignorance..please do NOT reply with any angry words. Let it be...I have warned him, and that will do. Thank you...

whhoooooooooa calm down skateboy. Bladers are ok i mean they are just practising like us boarders do most of the time. Just because you dont like them dont diss them. It may only be a few bladers that are gay but alot of them are ok. My m8 blades and boards and he can do cool stuff on both like frontflips on sk8s and switch flips and stuff on a board.

Hope i didnt offend anyone but thats may view

I might sound like your mom, but you sound like a kindergartener. Grow up, and quickly, because your actions as of late haven't been acceptable on ramprage.com....and they *won't* be tolerated for much longer.

ok not to get all rr people on u but skate_boy i don't see whats wrong with inline skating it rocks too. there are different sports out there there's no reason to be rude if u don't like it some people should just keep there opinions to themselves i'm no mod but serisouly it is common sence. and if u hate inliner people them o well get over it cuz u hate alot of people and hate is not a nice word well tah

gosh skate boy! chill out! i mean i've been inlining since...well as long as i can remember and it rocks! i think it's easier to learn then skateboarding and stuff but both r.blades, and s.boards rock! they're both fun! and if you have a problem with one of them take it somewhere else! if you don't like it that's fine and all just don't go dissin it!
