Answer this question: If you had to jump off of a 20 foot building, would you do a standing jump, or would you do a running jump, and why?

A running jump. Because you can carry to momentum into your landing meaning you wont get (as) hurt. Is there a point to this?

Either way your screwed. I shoot my self in the head jump.

Shoot yourself vs. a 20 ft fall? That's extreme! I'd rather take a broken leg over death..

I would do a triple somersault and land on my feet unharmed.

Actually, an olympic gymnist fell out of some 2 or 3 story building not to long ago, and did a somersault, landing on his ankle, and "only" got a broke ankle..as opposed to dying..

ohhhh he said 20 ft building. I thought he just ment like, any building, such as a appartment building or something. If it were 20 feet then I'd glide down it. It spread my wings and try my best to fly.

Neither. I'll just walk off the first step of the 20 foot building.

I would probably be pushed by someone from behind. So you figure which of those this one falls under.

I wouldn't jump at all. Technically, no one can "force" you to do anything, you always make your own decision. What's he gonna say, "Jump off the bridge or I'll shoot you!"? Either way, you die. Personally I'd rather the gun shot. Quicker, painless...depending on where he shoots me.

Wow Cryptic, the gun shot? Do you have no hope, I'd be running my fastest then at the last second I would slide and grab the edge od the building and lower myself into a window or grab a gutter.

You wont die if you jump off 20 feet. Youll break something but you most likely wont die.. And id jump standing still that way i dont have to jump off at all... thanks skaterblank or w/e who said that haha

Standing still you'd just land stif legged and shatter all the bones in your legs. Now, you had some sense, you'd land with bent legs that act as shock absorbers and only break an ankle or two. With a running jump you don't land straight, you land at an angle and then you can do a tuck and roll which means you wont break anything. The only way you could hurt yourself is if you do the tuck and roll wrong and knee yourself in the face.

I'd do a running jump, and I would roll when I landed.
Because it makes a 20 foot jump possible, and I've done a good 15 foot drop like this before.

I've jumped off a 24 foot climbing wall and been fine, just depends how you take the impact.
