I was thinking today, where else is there for skateboarding to go? I mean, other than getting intensely technical, what else is there to do? I suppose all the pros could push style a little more, but that's just perfecting what has been invented. Where do you guys see this in 5 or 10 years? What do you think the next new trend in skateboarding will be?

I'm currently taking a break from my technical stuff, and sticking to honing my slalom skills and old school stuff.
Try to hone all your skills, and perfect what you do.

I dunno, maybe floating decks.
OOH! Or floating skaters! I'd like doing a standstill backflip. :)

I really hope it doesn't get taken over by Element and turn into a trend.

Not really. There are still lots of legit skaters. I can just imagine sometime in the future when there are no real skaters, just people with Element hoodies.

dudes, skating will probally go down the drain unless WE do something about it!! we need to skate hard, not be afraid, and think of creative tricks! WE are the uprising! its up to us to do the big stuff! now go skate

i think we should kill anyone that wears element clothe, so that we can better the species and not let them procreate
but seriously, i would like to see floating skateboards, just like in back to the future

Looking back on this, I realized how stupid it sounded. But then I watched Yeah Right! and realized how cool it would be.

This guy here has the right ideas. I mean, I bet Tony Hawk and Rodney Mullen thought there was nothing left to invent for a while, but then their brain just sparked. Even if it's just doing huge things, like gapping the Wall of China, we can keep skating alive!

i asked myself the same thing a couple years ago. Within those years, skateboardings become sumthing i never imagined it would become. People are just so good now. a couple years ago, nobody was really whipping out lazer flips on call, doin shit like manual pivot, pivot backs, etc.. And now people like Aaron Kyro, Marty Murowski, Mikemo, etc. are poppin up doing crazy ass tricks i only seen done in tony hawk pro skater and whatnot. Some guy named Dave (i forget last name) kickflipped El Toro. He rides for City btw. And before that Shane Kross nosegrinded it... I dont know man.
Skateboarding doesnt stop. In 5 or 10 years, I wouldnt be surprised if people start skating on power lines and shit. Cooper Wilt nosegrinded the side of a building after all.

i would love to grind on power lines^ just like in tony hawk or were u can manuel forever and never stop or get points like a tv screen in your board that tells you how many points you got for that trick like in tony hawk
