hey dudes, just wanting a bit of advice...i skated the streets of socal for about 3 years and loved it, nothing came between me and meh skateboard...untill we moved to WISCONSIN that is. It's freezing in the winter, we're about to get a huge snowstorm and overall, its depressing compared to So-cal. On top of that, right when i got here (several months ago) i kinda messed up my knee, with that, living here where i must say the cops are VERY strict (skater hating pigs) and school, and having nowhere to skate anyways.. i havent been able to skate for 6 MONTHS, IM GOING INSANE. I tried some of my tricks the other day on a dry slab of concrete and felt stiff as a board...think there's any hope for me getting back into skating in the summer?...with time would i losen back up? get my skills back? any help/motivation would be awesome. Thanks

6 months shouldn't take that long to get your skills back. I took a year or so break at one point and didn't lose all that much.

Try 25 years... In many ways i am a better skater now than i was back then. I see things better.

i'm in michigan so i feel your cold. and the cops around here are huge dicks mainly because theres tons of skaters. clean your basement, buy a membership to the indoor park and just work on it, you should be back to normal in no time.
