What are the key factors to look at when picking out a shoe.
I am guessing Comfort, durability, and looks.
How can you tell if a shoe is made for skateboarding? Do you just look for the flat bottom?

There is a thred about this somewhere...
But look at the number of stitches in the toe. It should be no less than 2.
Look for good material, strong rubber, and overall comfort and style. If it hurts to wear it its gunna kill to skate it. Also you dont wanna wear some ugly shoe so get something you like.

Grip, durability, material, and comfort. Style makes no difference to me.

A flat bottom usually means it's a skate shoe, but look for the stitching, shape, and padding to make sure.

I like to buy my skate shoes 1 size higher then what my foot size really is...It gives me more flexibility with my foot...

Bam isn't one of the 'best pros,' and he's talking about finding out if a shoe is a skate shoe just by looking at it.

When you go to a shoe store, there are usually sections in the store for types of shoes.
