sometimes when I ollie I land on the balls of my my feet, making me turn left and falling back, is this normal or if not any suggestions?
And can a certain board affect how high you ollie and stuff because I have an Element Featherlight deck(I hate it) and I can only ollie like 1-1 1/2 ft and I try to bend my knees as high as I can.

It was a little mix of that and I wasn't bending my knees when I landed so a lot of pressure was being put on one side of my board

Try bending your knees a little more before you jump. That way you jump higher so that your knees are naturally bent when you land.

remember keep your shoulders parrallel with the board. front foot in the middle or a little higher(whatever is comfortable and works for you) and the ball of your back foot should be on the tail. you need good timing for ollies. drag your foot up right after the pop. then suck your knees in. dont stomp down on the board when your in the air. let gravity bring you back down. this way you get more hangtime.
