Hooray for Yamaha Drums! I've got a 5 piece Yamaha "Rydeen" kit. I'm hooked up with a Sabian Crash, Ride, and Hi-hat, and i've got my baby, the infamous, Zildjian Avedis Splash. I'm sure if you type Yamaha Rydeen in google images you'll find something. The set is REALLY dark green, almost black from a distance.

Been drumming 4 years. Every Solo Competetion i've been i've won a gold. The solo's are mainly Percussion though. Like roto-toms, Glockenspiel, or just plain Snare. Frankly, i'm more comfortable on the drumset, and I do way better on it.
Sadly, I am not in a band. None of my friends play any instruments.

I've got a band. Theatre 17-played 4 shows so far, I usually get 15 a night, sometimes other perks such as gift cards and such. I've got the electric acoustic-and our lead guitarist is not displayed. The emo one recently joined three weeks ago. He is really the hugest loser in our school, so we thought we'd help him out. And it works, he actually is cool with a few people now. I've been playing for three years now.

When people talk about drums it sounds like another language, like drummerish.

I play a lipstick red Ibanez Soundgear 4 string bass with custom pic ups and active electronics. Been playing for 20 years. I also play drums really well and rythm guitar. Recorded 2 albums, toured the west coast twice, played about 2000 shows :)

My main instument is guitar and lead vocals(5 years),but I can also play drums, piano, and the bass. The band im currently in is called Undecided Farewell. The artwork on the guitar is my doing, but Im thinkin about gettin either a Les Paul or a Telecaster, anybody know which one I should get? We play punk/pop-punk/post-hardcore/emo type stuff. Thanks.

Those are two very diffrent guitars man. I'm not gonna waste my time on going through diffrences of sound/feel. You really should just try them both and make up your own opinion. Personally i'd go for a Gibson les paul (if i had the money, standards can come at like 3000 bucks...), cause the ephiphone lp's i've played weren't really to my liking that much. I myself wouldn't use it for a lead instrument though just cause I find it somewhat annoying to play solo's on them. Reason i'd go for the les paul is because untill i'm a rich as mofo telecasters wouldn't fit with what i like to play the majority of the time. That and les pauls can sound pretty damn good if you shove some EMG's in em.

Anyway, my guitars:

old guitar and acoustic (http://www.ramprage.com/forums/media/data/500/Picture_80.jpg)
new guitar and acoustic (http://www.ramprage.com/forums/media/data/500/Picture_134.jpg)
headstock (http://www.ramprage.com/forums/media/data/500/Picture_135.jpg)
And a clearer pic of the ibanez (http://www.mercadolibre.cl/jm/img?s=MLC&f=3545971_741.jpg&v=P)

Yea, I feel the same way. I really like the way telecasters play, they're great for solos cause they have that kind of twangish type sound. But I LOVE the way the les paul sounds, for rhythm I mean, they fit my type of music alot better, but theyre real heavy, and you cant sit down and play em. Think im gonna go with the les paul though. Thanks.
