Coming Outta K's

How exactly do you get out of a K grind? I can get in to em and slided for a bit but I can never come out of them. Someone told me speed, is this true?

yes speed and is it coming off from the end of a lip or getting on and getting off from a long ledge?

try pusing your nose forward, kind of so when you land your feet slide back to the position you started your grind in.
