My PS2 is havin some problems. my guess is that it is old (i got 3 year ago) and its reached the end of the line. Whenever it is loading any part of a game ex. when i first put the game in, and the program starts loading (can tell by the sounds it makes) than it starts..... studdering. the sounds are somewhat like loading but it is almost like a scratched disk repeating the same part of a song over and over, its like a ba ba ba ba (imagine this in loading sounds)

its most likly gettin old and has been used to much but has this happened to anybody?

Edit: oh, and when the loading sounds start repeating nothings happens, game itself never loads and the sounds keep going and going until i eventually turn it off.

im sure not much can be done but i want to see if this has happened to anyone else. i cant send it for repairs warrenty is up anyway.

Does it happen on every game or just certain ones?

I had a problem with my ps2. With any game it would start to load and say disk read error...after that I went to x-box.

You should take apart your PS2.Take the cover off and clean the lens. You should do this with a q-tip and some rubbing alcohol.

Make sure to be careful when taking it apart(if you decide to), if you have some extra cash, you should bring it to your local videogame shop to see what they can do, and if they mess it up they most likely have to replace it for free, unless theirs some waiver you have to sign.
