lol, funny you say that bro, I'm in the middle of doing a PSP vs IPOD article. Most of the vs articles I've read are pretty bad (Meaning out right wrong.) I have a Ipod video also, it's a pretty decent device. Plus I'm alot happier with Apple now that they sent me a new mini. (eventhough I had to go through a repair shop to get it done.)

i have a psp. It may not hold as much as the ipod video but if u get a big memory stick or hardrive for it it can still hold alot. Plus u can go on the internet with it and play games.

For those of you who do have a PSP, feel free to click the sampler in my signature. unzip the file and add it to your PSP photo section. Promotional pics are made to be viewed vertically and horizontally..you'll figure it out. Let me know what ya think.
Peace.

I have a psp, I use to play games on it all the time not so much anymore mostly Thug 2 on it and listen to music and watch the skateboarding videos that I put on it. My sisters have ipods nanos which I think it sucks because it's only music. But I gues the videos are pretty cool. But what ever an ipod can do a psp can do with a bigger screen. Anyway I've actually been on this website and posted with my psp.

PSP's have SICK Homebrew capablities. For example: My PSP can play
SNES Games
GBA Games
NES Games
GBC Games
GB Games
Sega Games
Also, you can "obtain" the games of the PSP and use a loader to load ISO's.

How to put vid on PSP (http://www.ramprage.com/filming/intructional/1/376)
Note: The new 3gp software can now convert wmv files aswell. It also has a us translation option.
I also like www.pspvideo9.com , it's has more functionality, but the file size's are abit larger after final conversion with no discernable difference in clarity.

I have a PSP. They're awesome. I would say a PSP is better than an iPod video, because you can play games on them, and it has all the features as an iPod video such as pictures, music, and video. Also, PSP has wireless internet. The only downside is the largest memory stick you can get is 1 GB. (I think.)

Also, PSP has wireless internet. The only downside is the largest memory stick you can get is 1 GB. (I think.)
They both have their pros and cons.
I use my PSP for games, UMD Movies, MP4 vids, magazines, ebooks, internet (sometimes, will be hooking up wireless TV this summer for it) The homebrew applications are pretty killer but I don't play alot of games so I keep it updated with the latest firmware. I also have moving maps of most of the major european cities rail/subway systems.
You can get a 2GB sandisk duo pro memory stick now fairly cheap. They will be coming out with a 4GB stick later this year (xmas time.) You can get a 4GB max add on, but it's slower and you get chop that effects the vids/games stored.
Sony will be bringing out a new generation of PSP with a built in 8-10 GB memory capability. (don't know when) they have exceeded that in their labs (100GB) but its too costly to bringout now. So expect atleast 8GB in their next gen.
Right now I have a couple books (Da Vinci Code & Fear & Loathing) 6 Magazines, assorted wallpapers, European Rail/Subways, Some tunes, Loco game, and Fight Club in MP4 on my 1GB memory stick. And I can still pop in game and movie UMD's without a hitch.
Some kewl things you can already do on the PSP:
Wireless TV from home anywhere in the world (hotspot needed)
Make your own Media Mags. Download Magazines (300+ right now)
Create ebooks from txt files, can even add a background image for flavor.
Connect it to my xbox360 and it can play tunes or read a mag.
There's also a multitude of Mods, hacks, and exploits that are ready to go.
Some other hopups in the future will be a mini keyboard for internet, miniCam(photos), mic(phone), and GPS (programmable).
My Ipod video is awsome cuz I have around 70 skate vids, my footage, TV episodes, 20 or so full up movies like Munich and Final Fantasy 7, and a few hundred songs. 60 Gigs goes along way and I still have room for much much more. Screen is smaller but still looks great. Looks good when connected to a TV also. Battery life sucks, but my work around for that is a small power pak that uses 4 AA batteries...gives you about 15 hours of viewing pleasure. Just snaps on the back of your Ipod ($54). Snap on iTrip and you can play your music through your car stero.

I think I might get a PSP for Christmas, because I love classic games and it would be sweet to get some emulators on it. Also watching skate vids and listening to music would be cool.
