The optura can get better colors than some 3 chippers.
But if your in the 600-700 price range you could get a trv900... or you can save up and get a used vx1000 for like 900... ask cope or casa about this.

Well you're getting greedy if you want a 3chipper and high quality footage for $600-700. You need to save some cash for sure.

is the optura 10 have the same video quality as teh opture 50?

Don't get the 50, get the 10. Who cares about looking through the LCD, almost all the filmers don't use the lcd.
Get the 10, it's cheaper and better.

well i can understand ur saying that the optura 10 is cheaper but that doesnt make it better... the optura 10's 2.5 lcd uses less power then the optura 20's 3.5 lcd but the 3.5 is a nice big screen... neither are better then the other i just profer the 3.5 is what im saying. By the way alot of ppl film wiht the lcd on stationary shots..

Recommend you save your cash and don't settle for anything less than a VX1000.

Not at all man i can barley 3 flip yet we go filming with a VX2000...big group we film with a vx2100.....

Well yeah, I'm agreeing with alot of what he says, cause he know's his filming, but I'm not trying to sell his cam.
But if you have the money go for a vx1000 or if you don't get a optura 10 with a baby death, and a bescor. That's like a little more than 700 bucks, for a super good setup.. Or if you can't find a 10, go for a 20, it can take a bigger battery, and if has a better LCD.. (it doesn't really matter.)

But if you can order it online go to bhphotovideo.com they have stuff cheaper than most retailers .. like best buy.

everyone is obsessed with sony and canon because panny, only makes a few good 3ccd cameras, which are the high ends above and including the dvx100a. any other camera by panny isnt as good as any sony or canon, in my opionion and they lack some qaulities, but they do an amazing job on the high ends, better then sony and canon combined.
