WOW do you just expect everything to happen within a few minutes?

any way all your realy need is enough speed to clear the space, and be able to ollie while moving.

ya but the biggest problem in set jumpin isnt technical,its the mental thing

well umm, the time at the top of the posts said you posted them 47 min apart, so thats not really close to 4 hrs. even 4 hrs isn't that much, chill out. and yes there is a very special thing you need to do to jump stairs, at the edge of the top of the stairs you need to something called an "ollie".

anyway also don't ollie to soon but ollie when your about 5 or so Cm from the edge of the top step

hrmm. First make sure u can ollie a deck or almost a deck (preferably) going pretty fast. First do a single step. Try and get enough distance u can get from that step. When u can get the distance of 3 steps going fast or 2 if u want try 2. After u do 2, try ollie off higher ledges, or drop off em, so u get used to that high drop. Then go on to the 3,4,5,6,7,8,9,10,11,12,13,14,15 set. If u get 16 I will bow to you :D. Next is the method. Lets say ur trying a 5 set. U need a good set of speed, if its narrow, try get less speed, but more than u need still. Get ur feet in ollie stance, get ur back foot on the tip of the tail for maximum pop. And ur front foot just an inch or so just before the front truck screws. When u get near the set, Look at the edge of the first step. Try and ollie as close as u can, about 1 or 2 inches before the first set so u get better distance. Remember to crouch down but not too much, u need good control when u do that ollie. Dont scrape the tail when u pop, this should be easy to stay away from if u crouch. Try to ollie high, but not as high as u can so u have control when u are in the air, and in the landing. Your landing should be on the trucks so u dont break the tail or nose or the whole deck. Dont land on ur toes or u could hurt urself or maybe even break an ankle. Land on ur heels. when u land, bend down so u absorb that landing. Then ride away with a smile on ur face :D

you dont need to do anything. it depends on the stair size. if you think you need more speed then get more speed. if you think you need to ollie higher then ollie higher. usually the height of your ollie doesnt matter, probably try to visualize there is 1 deck sideways like m3ng said, and just ollie that high, on a 5+ stair, but for under 5 stairs really its just a normal ollie and a little more speed once you try bigger stair amounts.

from my personal experience, ollieing stars really isnt anything, because first I tryed just going off a ledge, and then one day when i was waiting for my brother to be finished with something at some place there was some 5 stair, normal size, and i just tried it and i really didnt need to ollie high, and dont worry, your knees arent going to hurt on like up to 7 sets if you forget to take impact, or is that just me :)

so your answer is no, you don't need to do anything special. it's just wheather you decide to try the set or not, so don't be afraid. just pretend the stairs are just 1 ledge. don't worry about hitting a stair, because if you really try, you won't. before i went on to 5 and 7 stairs i tried just jumping off them first, to get a feel of it, and then i just went and ollied them.

If you don't crouch when you land, it can **** up your feet too, which hurts really bad.
