X-ups are probably the easiest tricks to do once you know how. Step 1: find a ramp big enough to get a decent air. Step 2: Pedal towards it, but not too fast. Step 3: Lean back more than you would for a normal air. Step 4: In the air, do an x-up.
It's a lot easier on a ramp, so don't try it on dirt until you can do it on a ramp.

I you wanna try something new, switch your foot position and x-down. Thats an X-up the other way from what you normally do. It's hard for me cuz i have big feet and the tire hits my foot and i crash.

technically, you're half wrong half right.

an x-down is a one handed x-up, but taking your hand that is on the bar and pushing away from you, instead of towards you like you would for a regular 1 handed x-up.

example:

you're doing a one handed x-up, and you take your left hand off, you're bars would then spin counter clockwise instead of clockwise.

vice versa for taking your left hand off.

Actually I'm 100% right. What you described is an X-out. I've been trying those too, but they're way too hard to do at the local skatepark cuz the jumps are tiny. I wish i had a bigger park nearby. Oh well, the trails will have to do.

sorry kid, what you're describing is just an opposite x-up.

dont waste your breath, look it up, run a search on google or another search engine for trick tips, go to a LEGITAMATE website, and find out for yourself.

their easy just get your knees out of the way by pinching your seat like on a bar-spin, then just turn your bars.

hey every time I try to do an x up on a ramp I mess up because I try to start tha trick before I pull up and don't get any air. But when I wait and pull up I don't do tha trick, because I pull my handle bars up then down like a bunny hop only on a ramp. Is this because I don't get alot of air or because my ramp is small or because I don't do it right. I just got tha street with like two ramps and some ledges( yea I live in a very small town) and my friend has a ramp from K-mart or Wal mart that I ramp every now and then. Help????????

you don't need a lot of air for an x-up. i can do a bunnyhop x-up on flat ground. all you have to do is lean back over the seat and push the bars forward so they don't hit your knees as soon as you get air and cross the bars.

Do them on dirt first... it hurts less than on pavement, trust me.
