What are technical decks?

I have seen some popwars that say they are technical boards. Sorry to be a noob, but I have never heard this term before. What is the difference between a technical deck and a normal deck?

Erm maybe from the model since popwar's models have very much different shapes like one could have a bit have low concave then when with heaps steep concave. I dunno

I'm guessing it's designed for technical skating (complex flips).
So it's probably not very wide and a shape that's suitable for complex flip tricks.
I think it's most probably a marketing gimmick.
