Nike - ZOOM TRE

Well, it hit shops yesterday here. I'm not sure how long it's been out in the states. When i first saw it i thought it was possibly the ugliest shoe ever. Although it's started to grow on me - It'll never be a good looking shoe. But the 'science' behind it is interesting. The old Nike EQ's had a similar thing going on at the front - And the few people who rocked those said they skated great. It looks like one of those things that could be great or a total failure. I'd really like to skate a pair - Just because they actually do look amazing to skate in. To be seen in. Well. Maybe not.

What do you think of them?

I think it would rip up really easily. It looks like it has cool technology behind it. They are ugly as shit though. I would skate a pair if someone bought them for me.

They do look preeeeety bad, but that lack of toe-cap could produce some real good control. Crazy tech too:

I'm too narrow minded. The looks just put me off. Although those brown and green ones are pretty damn nice. Anyone got a price?

$90 over here, my friend won a pair at a local shop vid premiere, and he says they skate great, and the "airbags" are pretty big, so it took him a day or two to get used the shock absorbancy. He won them a week or so ago, and he is in love with them.

I've skated the e-cue and is was possibly the ugliest show i've ever worn. But zomg it skated so well. It was like I wasn't wearing shoes at all but had a special magic forcefield protecting my feet.

All Nike shoes are stupidly priced. $90 are you kidding me? It probably cost $20 bucks to make if not less. You might as well wrap 100 dollar bills around your feet and go skate.

I don't find them that ugly, although I'd prefer my own dunks on looks. This shoe does look pretty awesome to skate in. It looks comfy.

they hit shops here about a week ago...

i don't know, i dont' really like the look or dislike them. i have no doubt that the sides hold up good, but what about the soles? usually i can keep the sides together with shoe goo but the soles will wear through, and if you shoe goo the soles it just scrapes off when you walk and on your grip.

when i first saw nike shoe i thaught they where mingin as they where in green or brown couler but now i have seen them in black and white and other nicer coulers and they grew on me andi want a pair

They look too much like basketball shoes to me. They look ace for skating in though, if I ever got any nike's they would be the dunks.
