Editing Software (for the Slightly Computer Retarded)?

Well I know nothing about post production so if it sounds like I dont know what the hell im talking about....

Okay so I wanna make a little montage, and the editing software i have sucks ass. I have nero. Yea. So i was wondering whats a good editing software (for preferably both pictures and videos) that i could get. Its would be nice if it:

Was under $100
Edited both PIctures and Videos
Was easy to understand for computer retards

I was thinking Photoshop, but the one i saw was like $600! Maybe a lower version of it?

maybe photoshop would work....if it was called videoshop, not photoshop. you wont find a program for both videos and photos and for under 100 and for computer retards.

nothing wrong with windows movie player, and you can get a like 90 day free trial of paint shop pro which is more or less like photoshop from my experiences. Or if you can find a vegas download for video editing off limewire thats good too
