This is really annoying me now. I could capture perfectly last week but it won't work now. I'm using a Canon (mvx20i) and a PCI Firewire I recently bought. I connect it up, switch the camera to VCR and then turn on the computor.
I open Ulead VideoStudio 7 and go to the capture bit. I play the video and I can see it on the screen (but it plays at about 1 frame every second) then when I click capture the screen goes black and restarts. I tried this about 5 times. So....
I open up Premiere 6 and go to the capture panal, play the video on camera (Device Control or without it, it doesn't make a difference) and then click the red dot to capture. It captures 1 frame then says 'Your capture device has been unplugged'. I tried this over 18 times and it didn't work.
So.....
I open up Vdub Mod and open the capture section. I started playing the video and clicked capture. It captures but when I play it back it has horrible lines running across it and has lots of missing frames. It is also a massive file size.
I've tried installing the drivers and then capturing with Premiere but it wouldn't work. I haven't tried again with Ulead after I re-installed the drivers, mainly because I think it won't work still and because I've been really busy with late coursework.
Please help me, I really don't know why it's doing this. My Dad suggesting going back to a reset point from last week or something like that.
