Man, this sucks. I'm a week behind on my Math homework, My grades are falling, but thing thing is- I couldnt care less.

Im having the time of my life skating, but it takes away my study time.

I feel relaxed, and free. I go home after school, and maybe do some homework, then skate.

Are any of you guys like this? Does school get in the way for you?

It's way different for me. I almost never have homework, so homework doesn't get in the way.

I still get by with B's and A's.

But then again I'm in middle school.

I never have homework, I have classtime usually wether my teacher gives me it or not. I also have a first hour studyhall where I can do it, so I don't worry about homework.

The only class I have to worry about is phy ed. because the teacher is a douche and I get so many injuries that limited me from doing our stuff last quarter. I might be alergic to chlorine I found out thanks to her, and I still have to swim 60 laps. Fking douche.

Get your maths done, get good marks and go skate to celebrate how well you've done.

im failing AP Lit. right now. I blame pot, skatebaording, partying, and laziness. However my other two classes i got A's in. Weight training and personal fitness. :-2:

I HATE school but i understand that to do what i want to do at college i have to work hard so i am. If your going to let skating ruin your life by picking it over school your an idiot because there is a TINY TINY chance you will get paid to skate. Skate in your free time not in school time or when you should be working for school.

I put a lot of time into school, because I think of it this way. If I do good in school, I get into a good college and get a good job with good pay, and I would regret not getting a good education if I didnt. Skating is qualified as a hobbie, and hobbies are suposed to be for fun, but school isnt. I saw this thing, and it said that people would think that school was fun if they werent forced to do it, but if they werent forced to do it, they wouldnt do it, because they were lazy. You make the decision if skateing is getting in the way, and there are ways to force yourself to like things that you dont like to do. Skating should be important in your life, because it is great in every way, hell, you could even be sponcered and be good enough from then and possibly famous. School is important, thats my opinion!

when i grew up my mom made sure i was schooled. she would even come to my class's and sit behind me. she made sure i didnt do anything bad and she also was embarassing...i couldnt get alot of girls in school because of that. but i dont regret it....im studying to be a gynecologist. but after highschool i took a few years off to think about what i wanted to be. my current job though is part time construction worker. but havent been to work sense may31st. but the boss understands my situation

Yeh, I slack like shit, and skate whenever I can, but I do the homework too. Skate 'till 10/11 at night, then do homework at 12, sleep, repeat. I'm doing pretty well in school, amazingly.

I'm in a junior high and I'm in Algebra 1 and hell it's so hard. I have so much to catch up on. Last quarter I made honor roll for the first time this year. Today I sat down to work on math and then after like 20 minutes and only 2 problems done I was just like "**** it I'm going to skate."

I do plan to attend college if skating doesn't take me somewhere.

Im in middel school and I doubt they refelct to much on your grades in 7th grade on what collage your going too. I bust my ass to get school work done in resource so I usualy never have work to do at home...but if I do my parents check and make sure I did it all or I can't skate...Bummer...But I have no curfue ( how ever you spell it) so I have almost all night to skate.

Dude school should be your top priority..Don't **** off skating and then failing school...Just get it done...then skate!

Wow, alot of folks in highschool here I see. Wait until you get to college. College is truly when you find out what kind of person you *really* are. It's some of the hardest times of your life, but at the same time you go through immense amounts of soul searching. You may think now, i'm going to xx university to obtain a degree in xx so that I can become an xx! But, in reality at least 1/3 of those 'xx's will most likely change. In highschool you strive to achieve your friends, family, and peers expectations. Once you're in college these expectations become 99% unexistent, and how you manage this scenario is completely dependent on yourself.

Anyhow the point to this post is: the best thing you can do is work hard in order to keep your options open as long as possible. Try to keep school as a top knotch priority until you truly discover what kind of person you are. Many psychologists consider age 18-20 an age which people realize what kind of person they are. So it is really important to try your hardest in school *at least* until your 20/early twenties. You don't want to look back a regret a bad decision.
