Dragging your foot up is something you have to get used to, I'm getting used to dragging my right foot up for nollies because right now I can't and there like 2 inches.

First, practice the motion you need to on the ground, without ollieing. You need to roll your foot towards the front of the board so its basicly on it's side, and then slide it up the board. Your foot cannot move if you don't roll it on to its side. Gettin ollies is all about muscle memory, so practice the right thing, and it will become second nature.
