yeah im not an expert either but i love this cam i got mine from bestbuy but you cna get it for like 340 or something like that from www.adorama.com its a really great cam i love it it takes pics too and its really simple to use i highly recommend it

i love it i think its a reallly good cam the sound quality is amazing and so is the video quality i think its a perfect camcorder for anyone and theres no need for buying a new battery because the stock lasts over 150 minutes and it has a light it also takes widescreen video it takes pictures its small and light and i think its awesome

I've heard from filmers that know what theyre talking about, the elura is a decent 1 chip.

But if you ask any filmer who knows anything, 9 out of 10 times they will say to get the Optura 10/20, you can get them for less than 200 bucks and they can compete with low end 3ccd cameras.
