I know this has probably been asked millions of times before, I searched, I know. But I didn't get the answer I was looking for.
I need help on my ollie. I can slap the tail down and get the back trucks up, but when I try to slide my foot up, it WON'T go up. I even tried 100% focusing on sliding it up, that didn't work. I don't know if I jump high enough, (If that accounts for anything) because I have a muscle disease. But it's just really hard to slide my foot up.
Any tips?
Thanks.

try to just in the direction that you want your foot to slide. The friction on the board will force your foot up.

**** you. SB-C is ok and all, but it can suck. Maybe we don't give you help because of shit like this.
Don't just push your foot UP, push a bit DOWN as well. It helps level out the board and get maximum height during ollies.

no seriously STFU about skateboard city. You are a faggot. Why don't you go listen to some emo music while writing in you diary about how your BAM board broke and how the world doesn't understand you if you're so "goth". @$$.
Oh and btw the people on this site can help out alot. They just don't help you because you're a dumbass.

...Any tips?
Thanks.
Don't worry about your front foot for now. Just do moving ollies (or try to do them), and it should come naturally. Sorry if I wasn't much help, it's just that this hasn't been a problem for me.
P.S. Sorry for the D.P.

Like someone said, you have to press down just enough that your foot is making full contact with the griptape. Also, make sure you're rolling your foot enough. Also, just spend a ton of time practicing it, you will eventually just unconsciously (sp?) get the right motion down.

Keep trying, practice is the main thing when it comes to skateboarding, just slam down on the tail jump and land on the bolts. Dedicate yourself to it and you'll have it in no time.

Hey Kookyman I have EXAcTLY the OPPOSITE PROBLEM AS U.
I can get the front up very well, but i can't get the back. So everytime i try and ollie a small pavement, the backwheels get caught and i end up falling down lOlz, much to the laughter of my mates.
How i get the front trucks (front part of board) up, is I kick the back leg down, and at the same time i raise up my front leg, so that the board acts like a see-saw.. that's my worthless tip lolz.
Sk8ter goth u sound like a freak. i saw ur thread.
Hey yall, im new here. The site is good by me, coz it has a fully working Ollie demo video IN SLOW MO!.
Anywayz. I have a qn about ollying, like i've seen the technique, but i don't think im applying enough force to my kicking down the back foot. So like HOW HARD do you guys kick down to olley? Coz when i see ppl olley, they look so suave and cool that they're not using any effort at all to olley.
What is mean't by "snap"?

you just have to pop as hard as you can, but they look cool about it because it's all quick and crisp.
