Alright, alright, i know there is a perfectly good sticky above about kickflips, but i have read that and i still have a problem. I cant seem to stay above the board, i either go back toward the tail, or back the way my heels are facing. I know if i could just stay above the board i could land it perfect.

Pretend you're Dennis Busenitz, then just land them.

something i learned that helped out a lot was that i focused on keeping my shoulders straight as i jumped up and flicked it, cuz i would always sort of follow my foot when it flicked, and by keeping my shoulders straight, it was a lot easier to get my front foot back on the board.... flick with your foot, not your body

I sorta have this problem too. I always go back toward my heels. I can land it with my back foot on the tail but my front is another story. If I really try staying above the board it like does half a kickflip a 180 spin and half a front flip often resulting and a credit card. I don't even understand why it does that it sorta confuses me and pisses me off.

when you kickflip, dont open up your arms or you'll land with both feet at the tail of your board and you can whip your head. make sure to keep your shoulders straight

no no no no. The best thing to do is stop acting stupid and going "look I can land with my back foot" and instead focus for one day at landing your front foot and then the next day focusing on landing both feet on the bottom of your board and then on the third day focusing on jsut doing it. Seriously I had been trying to kickflip for 2 months and then after 4 days of actually TRYING to get both feet on I did it. You just gotta try and be smart when you practice.
