Your riding and you lean forward and put your hands on the ground and slide the board around.I remember seeing it on Lords Of Dogtown and my friend did it.He said they were Vert Slides but when I type that in on google nothing shows up exept results for power drill companies.

i when i moved to the house im in now this 4th grader on my street was like i can do a bert slide and the first time i tried it I did it. It's just like a fancy backwards powerslide. And he doesnt even do it right cuz he takes his front wheels off the ground and yet he tells me he's the best skater in his school.

Umm, sorry to be so weird an' all...

But that's not a bert slide. With a bert you lay one hand out behind you, and slide the board 180º, grab or no grab. (A lot easier on banks, then on flat)
