Favorite Method of Using Long Lens

yeah so whats your favorite method of using long lens filming, theres so many different styles and long lens is pretty much the most creative thing you can do.

I like to get far away from the obsticle/gap/stair and have the camera out of focus until right before they do the trick...

becoming in focus at the last second is hard for many consumer cameras to do. if you own a prosumer camera you have the ability to do it and do it well. considering most prosumer cameras are optical focusing instead of this new wave digital shit.

i personally like following the skater as im stationary, (this only looks good if the skater skates fast) and follow him so everything is going by fast and then when he lands the trick stop. this is called panning.
