I'm pissed off at skating in general. I love this sport and respect it soooo damn much but i cant even watch skating videos anymore. I got this beatup girl board with shotty GK trucks, target bearings and target wheels. The thing has no pop, half a tail, and razor edge on both ends. Im sick of the rich kids on my street complaining how "there wheels are only ABEC-5's" and "omg my griptape got wet, i need some more" and "holyl crap my trucks are crooked" I skate with dam rusted bearings, trucks that turn 90 degrees, and a board that will snap if i pop-shovit too hard. I cant skate cuz i dont have damn money, i cant get a job cuz i dont have a dam car, i dunno wut to do. I just wanna give up on skating cuz it seems like u need money to enjoy it. I just want to skate and be happy...

Hahahaha you'd make good business here on friday nights because we are always on the look out for someone to get us served.
Personally, I mow the lawn (big garden) and that gets me enough money. Don't quit just because your set up is crap. Stick to blank decks and trucks that are on offer, etc and you'll do fine.

Who's under 16 that has a job?

250 every 2 weeks is pretty damn good at your age. The most I've made is 50 dollars a month, but I haven't done a 'real' job yet.

i find that offensive.
to manage decks get a 10 pack of blanks, 1 a month, or just use a deck till it snaps. u dont need to be rich to skate. i am definantly not rich. i got a 10 pack of blanks off ebay for christmas, canadian blanks, 4 different colors, $80 + shipping = $130. that's less than $10 per blank, and they aren't bad at all. i really skate, ive been for almost 4 years, like im not one of those kids that searches online for hours to learn how to ollie. that's right, believe it or not, i use this very helpful method called "practice."
and another thing, those "rich kids" that cry if they get their griptape wet are trying to save their decks to last longer, not be spoiled and get new sheets of grip all the time. my friend got a 20 pack of black magic with his 10 blanks, so he can regrip if something does happen. keep skating, it's fun.

I get paid £20 to work for 3 hours serving at the civic centre. I work when i want and for how long i want. My boss calls me and asks if i want to work that night and i can just say no i'm busy. It's fantastic, only problem is it takes 3 months for the cheque to come through.

When I was 13 years old I was cutting 6 peoples lawns. Did that for two years and making $10-$20 depending on the size of the lawn. Easy money. I'm sure your parents have a lawn mower of sorts and will be proud of you for your entrepreurial motives.
Around 14 or 15 I started programming Direct TV satellite cards. There was wicked money in that. The stream is pretty much closed off now but when you were in Canada and "testing" the ability to receive American signals that were being spilled over your border it was all good to me.
From the ages of 16 to 18 I washed my parents cars every weekend every week of the year. Both cars, took me about 3 hours. We're talking wash, dry, vaccum, rim cleaning. It was an intensive job but my parents paid me well for it. Paid for my beer and gas money.
Now I work when I can find work as a photographer. Cameras are mad expensive though, I've probably put $8000 into my gear. I wouldn't suggest that route.
In the summer I work as a summer camp counsellor for a camp in northern Ontario for kids with jeuvenille diabetes. It pays $160 a week starting wage and I should be up to $170 or $200 this year depending if I get the job I want. Mind you it's a 24 hour a day job with one day and one morning off every 2 weeks but my meals are all paid for and I get a cabin to sleep in. Can't complain summer camp is pretty wicked.
Just sell some stuff or sell your self for some hard labour and you will quickly find a way to afford a new deck. Or see if the shops are throwing any out like in that movie with the chimp who skateboards and the kid who lives in a pool shed... MVP something or other.

I just mowed my lawn, front and back today for $16 from my dad. But where did you find the other people willing to pay you to mow their lawn? Flyers (sp?) or something?
