Getting a new Camera...?

Whats a good Camera I can get? I want something that I can maybe set up on a tripod or set on a box aimed at me skating so I can see what Im doing good/bad and all that. It might be nice if it hooked up to the computer too. Is there any video camera thats under $300, thats worth buying?
