ok im getting confused on how to play skate, some ppl say that you,
1. do a trick and then the other person does a trick
and other ppl say
2. its ur turn to do tricks until u mess up then its their turn to try your tricks

You can do either one. The first is more common though.

you didnt really explain it to well it usually goes like this.
im going first so i set a kickflip.
me: kickflip
him: doesnt land it so he gets a letter
now since he missed my trick he gets a letter so now i go again.
me:fakie big flip attempt.
so now that i missed my trick he gets to set a trick.
so he sets a heelflip
him:heelflip
me: i land it
now since i landed it i DONT get a letter. But he gets to set another trick.
him: variel heel
me: i dont land it so i get a letter.
so now it should be: Me: S Him: S
and now it would be his turn once more.
you can play skate usually using try's (the amount of trys you have to do a trick) mostly 1 or 2. Also some people like to have at least one skip where they can totally skip that trick altogther and not get a letter.

We play:
A sets a trick. B, C and D all have 3 attempts to land the trick.
If everyone lands it then A sets again.
In no-one lands it then A sets again.
If someone lands it then those who don't land it get a letter each.
