Is it harder to Ollie if your a bit chubby?

You see this kid I know hes kind of on the chunky side, and is learning how to skate. He thinks the reason why he cant Ollie is because hes too heavy, and because when the other kids that skate Ollie they can do it easy. I told him its not because hes fat but he wont listen, anyone have any answers?

My friends lost probably 20 pounds from skateing, tell him to stop ollieing, work on skateing ollieing on flat ground doesnt do anything, but if you cann ride and ollie a little youll be great.

It doesnt really matter about weight, unless your like 300 kilos. If you just skate you would get the ollie easy, and weight wont matter, just dedication and practice will. And he would lose weight from skating anyway.
