I just got new wheels and bearings, and I put the bearings in, but they don't rotate straight. When I spin them they wobble from side to side and they make a clicking noise. Is this a problem/what should I do?

They arent in all the way.

Push real hard.

I tried pushing them in, but I bent the things and now 3 of the bearings don't turn at all. What should I do?

You should have pushed them in with your fingers. Gotta push HARD. You've probobly ruined it. When I do mine, I hear a sort of "click" when it hits the inside of the wheel, and I know its in.

or you could get one of those bearing press things to do it for you

You don't need a bearing press or anything. You're supposed to push the metal side of the bearing into the wheel until you can put it on the truck's axle and have enough hanging off for the bolt, then tighten it all the way. If you touch the seals with your wrench or skate tool then you can easily **** them up, which you did.

Bearing Presses may not be required, but they make life a lot easier. Why take the chance to screw up a pair of perfectly good bearings when you can just bearing press them.

I have a platic truck to do it. Since its plastic, it doesn't ruin it.

You can't take the chance of ruining a pair if you're careful and know what you're doing.

you guys dont know what youre doing.

put the bearing on the truck with the board on its side. then put the wheel down on the bearing and put your weight over the wheel and push down on it.

thats how youre supposed to do it.

dude; the holes where the bearings go in are meant to be small. hit it with a hair dryer for 1 min, then do what spencer said.

wtf, wouldnt that wreck it :p

My way is weird but... my friend gave me his real crap kmart deck a few years ago and i never used to use it since i had my own. And this year I made it into a bearing press. I have 1 of the trucks, tightened the kingpin real tight. Then put bearings in 1 axle side (where u put your wheels) until its almost all filled up. Then I just put the bearing i want in the wheel on the axle side thing where the bearings are put and I push. Since it doesnt touch the shield and it only puts pressure on the inner and outer ring.

errm, the urethane expands little under the heat of the hairdryer. dont hit it literally, that wont do much. also, if you have a socket set (its a tool set eh?) theres 2that fits the outer rim of the bearing perfectly. put 1 on each side, then put the tresult in a C-clamp.
