We usually do it while walking. I think my friend did skate once and we all got angry at him cause u like roll away and its easier walking. When i film my friends, i usually crouch down and walk fast very smoothly, and i keep the camera at the same level at all times unless he does a grind or goes down a ramp or stairs. When he does change his level i dont pull the camera up, i push my legs up so it looks smoother and cleaner.

walking is good... ir ur boards snapped or something... i can understand and incredibly small move for the filmer but. in lines you have to use your skateboard no doubt,, unless ur really really inexpericenced and cant film on a board,, in other case ur borderline reatarted becuase i have taught my skaters how to do this in 10 mins.. and if u cant then dont film at all.

I film my freinds doing lines on my longboard, I have 70mm 75A wheels, so its noise free. Only thing is my board tends to pick up more speed due to the big ass wheels.

NO one should EVER i repeat EVER film lines walking thats just completely retarted.

I've got my cruiser/filmer board and it is the best
I've just got a normal 8.0" local shop deck and some indys with the new Ricta Filmer/Cruiser 68mm wheels with some Bones Swiss Ceramics
now that thing is so fun for bombing hills.

I film from my longboard, which is the best way to do it. Not only is it quieter and smoother, but it means you don't have to push as hard to keep up and won't have to do it as much, meaning you'll shake less.

wait wait did anyone se billy madisons post... is that just or is someone really that out of line? filming while walking is use soooooo much in filming,, besides using a board walking is needed in alot of situtations

i think too many people tend to worry more about whether they're using the right technique rather than the outcome.

If you can get a steady shot walking...why not do it? surely not just because dan magee skates and films

if you film long lens setting up a camera on a tripod and using zoom tends too look good, but yeah if you need to move do what ever you can do most steady.

I almost hit a pillar in a parking garage coming down steep slope once. I still got the whole line too, haha, just one quick shake and everything was cool.

i would never... using roller blades doesn't even have an advantage over a board,,, it has alot of cons though,, and no one say the quietness becuase one thats the tpye of mic your using and two you just out those wallmart roller blade wheels on the skateboard
