Rodney Mullen is the best street skater it is a ****ing proven fact if it wasnt for him no other skater could do anything. He invented a moving ollie a kickflip heelflip darkslide casper slide 180 flip 360 flip all of that stuff and more. I cant believe some people think koston is better than mullen you guys who think that make me ****ing sick to my stomache.

hullo, Rodney mullen didnt invent the ollie...some other dude did.I saw it on concrete wave the other day the guys name is Alan "Ollie" Gelfand.he invented it in 1977.

I think Koston is OK his style is lazy though, if you watch his movie on thps3 u will see why lol

Kosten's style is bad...what about Mullen's? he can do awesome tricks but his arms are all over the place, making them look sloppy. but this is going to raise up some fights so...thats just MY opinion. ;)

i think that he's a great skater and will continue to be one for some time. he's one of my favorite skaters too.

people have different styles in STREET skating, whether big drops, rails, to picnic tables, or just flatland, everybody has their own style. Erick is good in all of street, he can mostly everything, be he probably isnt very good in flatland

Hmm...lol...well his arms are always swinging in the air and his leg goes out pretty far and looks pretty goofy when he pushes. I'm sorry, but HEH his style is sloppy. Sorry ppl, but im not on drugs or jokeing lol. But, he is still a good skater, he just needs to work on his style.

sorry to be a buttwipe but mullen's arms wave around a lot because alot of the stuff he does requires balance. Koston's style is pretty nice. hes like burnquist, does the gnarliest tricks but very relaxed.

The best street skater is not mullen or koston. its a matter of opinion and my opinion is that colt cannon, arto saari, and tom penny are the best street skaters. Mullen is all benches and flatground. Maybe a couple handrails, but Tom Penny... oooo hes so smooth....

I'd have to say that Arto is better than Koston in every category, but Appleyard beats them both in style. He doesn't have switch down very well, though. Only thing keeping Apples from being the best. He has fewer tricks, but they looke 100x better than anybody else's.

Yeah tom penny is really good. Ali Boulala is pretty good too. That new black dude who skates for Darkstar gaileu Momula or something holy shit is that ****er good. Nollie Heelflip Lipslides on handrails oh my god. Nollie bigspin lipslides hes just too good.

Koston is my favorite skater,and i think he's awsome at street, but he is sloppy at times. i also think there are better out there,like mullen, but kostons still my favorite skater, and i love girl decks

which vid doesnt matter. What matters more is that Koston IS good but i have to say Tom Penny, Bastien Salabanzi, and Arto can outskate Koston anyday. AND the Element team.

Alright, lets get this straight.

Allan "Ollie" Grant invented the ollie on pools. He wasn't the first to get over the coping, just the first to ollie over the coping. One of the Z-boys was the first to get out & over the coping, I think it was Jay Adams.

Rodney Mullen perfected it and brought it to flatground. As many of you probably don't know, Rodney started off as a vert skater. He was injured and his parents said he couldn't skate anymore. So he would skate flatland, the safer of the two at the time. So they paved their backyard with concrete and that's where he started doing ollies flatground.

Tony Hawk didn't even come into the picture for many many years later, until the Pertla(sp?) Powel team came along.

Personally, I like Rodney, I just don't prefer his style. And those of you that are dissing Koston, you should watch Menikmati, and you'll have a different oppion then those shitty 5 min. clips on THPS3.

Ye, Alan Ollie was on an epidsode of Concrete Wave (if anybody has heard of it), it's like a series of episodes on TV about skateboarding etc.
And personally I don't dis any skateboarders (which are pro), because I know that they are better than me and they deserve respect for what they have become and began,

i saw chomp on this, menikmati, sorry, opinion, and those 2 min THPS clips. Koston is on Chomp on this and Menikmati which also has penny and arto. Sorry has Penny and Arto, and opinion has Mullen. Ive seen it all and i rule that though koston is awesome, I prefer Penny and Saari over him.I guess its a matter of favoritism or sumthin... and Mullen is just... i dont deserve to put him in a scale of greatness. he EVEN says he is not the best skater. (thats for those judging other skaters' skills.) Ne wayz, all of this stuff being said about the skaters mentioned is all opinions of US! the inferiors to that of Koston, Penny, Mullen, Saari, and all other pro skaters so lets stop arguing.

Mullen is oh so humble. Actually, all of the skaters we mentioned are humble. They have those they respect in the sport of skateboarding and the humbleness to admit theyre not the best. I just wanted to add that. :)

What alan invented was the ollie in a bowl. Instead of just doing fs airs, he did the first fs ollies, giving the extra air because of the pop. I'm not possitive on weather or not mullen invented ollies. But i do know him and koston have very different styles of skating, and i don't think any 2 skaters have the same style of skating, and if any 2 do, then i guess you can compare them if you choose. In my opinion the 2 are like tied in greatness.
